MusicEducationResources.Org supports the delivery of Music Performance and Music Technology elements of the new BTEC Nationals in Music and Music Technology programmes for QCF and NQF qualifications at level 2 and level 3.

CREATE AN ACCOUNT TO RECEIVE REGULAR UPDATES - choose a user name and password, register and you will be kept fully up to date with any news from Edexcel/ BTEC - including any changes/updates to the specification... We NEVER use your details inappropriately, or pass them on to third parties.

We offer resources and support materials for the classroom, lecture room, studio and performance space written by experienced professionals, in a truly vocational context.

Resource packs for all NQF (Legacy) BTEC Music and Music Technology units are still available, with new QCF units currently being prepared.

A selection of Instrument and equipment reviews are free on the website - and will be regularly updated, along with ideas on how this equipment relates to specific units of the new BTEC Firsts and Nationals in Music and Music Technology.

New BTEC MUSIC Level 2 specification - support packs for all units available NOW!

The Edexcel BTEC Music and Music Technology (QCF) specifications are now in place - they apply to learners registered from September 2010 onwards.

There will be 'New Generation' BTECs for Music and Music Technology from September 2013 -

Please remember to REGISTER with us (see details at the left of Home page) to receive regular updates/ releases with regard to these new qualifications.

We have support materials for the current (QCF) qualifications available now...

The new Level 2 structure offers 3 pathways:

Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Music – a 15 credit, 90 GLH qualification equivalent to a single GCSE

Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Music – a 30 credit, 180 GLH qualification equivalent to 2 GCSEs.

Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Music – a 60 credit, 360 GLH qualification equivalent to 4 GCSEs
